The Care Farm & Seed-to-Plate
These are the Day Services we currently provide with a small charge for sessions to cover our costs.
The Care Farm
Oakfield's Care Farm provides weekly ‘Feel Good Farming’ sessions where attendees can get involved in the day-to-day care of animals – cleaning their homes, feeding, collecting eggs, and having a good cuddle with the animals. There are a number of different animals at Oakfield's Care Farm, including Guinea Pigs, Rabbits, Chickens, and Pygmy Goats. Each animal is unique and has their own personality. You can adopt animals through our online 'Care Farm Adoption Scheme'.
Seed-to-Plate Project
Oakfield Community's Seed-to-Plate Project is a hands-on opportunity for people with learning disabilities to learn about where our fruit and vegetables come from, how they are grown and how to harvest and use the end product.
Our Easton Maudit site provides the perfect setting to develop our Seed-to-Plate project. Set in just over two acres of ground, in the heart of the countryside, we have two poly tunnels, a greenhouse and a number of raised beds.
